Vasuma partners with Deadwood for launch of two rimless eyewear styles

Introducing Weightless – a collaboration between Swedish eyewear brand Vasuma and fashion label Deadwood.

Known for its pioneering work with upcycled leather, Deadwood brings its sustainable ethos to eyewear in this limited-edition collection. Weightless features two rimless sunglasses styles—Colletti and Macrelaps—crafted in Italy from ultra-lightweight, recycled Swedish surgical steel. Designed with minimalism and innovation in mind, each frame is available in Grey and Pink Gradient lenses, with only 50 pieces made per style.

Words from Deadwood

"Deadwood was founded in Stockholm based on a pretty simple idea: to give old materials new life. Together with Vasuma, we've managed to challenge ourselves even further—towards something nearly weightless. The frames are made from recycled steel, yet they feel so light you forget you're wearing them. We're driven by exploring new product segments, and this is Swedish craftsmanship at its best—minimalist and visionary," says Carl Ollson, founder of Deadwood.

Words from VASUMA

"Craftsmanship has always been the backbone of Vasuma, but we constantly strive to take things further. Together with Deadwood, we've developed a sunglasses collection that combines traditional craftsmanship with a clear focus on sustainability and design. The collection features extremely lightweight models made from recycled Swedish steel. They are rimless, timeless, and designed for those who value freedom and function over norms and conventions.

Shaped by a 'Stockholm state of mind,' where tradition meets innovation and where Scandinavian design merges with modern technology and conscious material choices," says Jan Vana, Creative Director at Vasuma.
